IUI Patient Care Guide

• Note the date and time of IUI and reach the hospital 2 hours before the procedure.
• Before coming to the hospital, the patient should clean the vaginal area with lukewarm water.
• The husband should provide a semen sample on the day of IUI, ideally 1 hour before the procedure.
• The patient should take Tab. DVN 40 half an hour before IUI.
• Do not apply perfume, hair oil, body lotion or any other scented products before the procedure.
• The patient's bladder should be full before IUI.
• On the day of IUI, the gap since intercourse should not be more than 2 days.
• The patient should bring all prescribed medicines on the day of IUI.

• The patient should lie on the left side for 30 minutes after IUI.
• Avoid the following for at least 20 days: heavy lifting, taking out clothes from the washing machine, pulling a filled bucket, eating papaya and pineapple, drinking coffee and cold drinks, eating very spicy food.
• β-hCG test must be done on Day 18 after IUI.
• Visit the doctor once the β-hCG report is available.

• आईयूआई की तारीख और समय नोट करें तथा प्रक्रिया से 2 घंटे पहले अस्पताल पहुँचें।
• अस्पताल आने से पहले रोगी को गुनगुने पानी से योनि क्षेत्र की सफाई करनी चाहिए।
• पति को आईयूआई के दिन, आदर्श रूप से प्रक्रिया से 1 घंटे पहले, वीर्य (सीमेन) का सैंपल देना चाहिए।
• रोगी को आईयूआई से आधा घंटा पहले टैबलेट DVN 40 लेनी चाहिए।
• प्रक्रिया से पहले परफ्यूम, हेयर ऑयल, बॉडी लोशन या किसी भी सुगंधित उत्पाद का उपयोग न करें।
• आईयूआई से पहले रोगी का मूत्राशय (ब्लैडर) भरा हुआ होना चाहिए।
• आईयूआई के दिन, संभोग (इंटरकोर्स) का अंतर 2 दिनों से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए।
• आईयूआई के दिन सभी डॉक्टर द्वारा दी गई दवाइयाँ साथ लेकर आएँ।

• आईयूआई के बाद रोगी को 30 मिनट तक बाईं करवट लेटना चाहिए।
• कम से कम 20 दिनों तक इनसे बचें: भारी वजन उठाना, वॉशिंग मशीन से कपड़े निकालना, भरी हुई बाल्टी खींचना, पपीता और अनानास खाना, कॉफी और ठंडे पेय पीना, बहुत मसालेदार भोजन करना।
• आईयूआई के 18वें दिन β-hCG टेस्ट अवश्य कराएँ।
• β-hCG रिपोर्ट आने के बाद डॉक्टर से अवश्य मिलें।
